As of July 2018 Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Freitag holds the Chair of Theoretical Philosophy at the Department of Philosophy of the University of Mannheim. Here, we provide an archive of his team and work at UCF

Welcome to philosophy at UCF! The chair in Epistemology and Theory of Science represents large parts of theoretical philosophy and some parts of practical philosophy. Major areas of research include epistemology, philosophy of science, philosophy of language and mind, logic and metaphysics, and the recent history of philosophy. In teaching we additionally cover introductions to the philosophy of action and rationality.

Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Freitag studied in Germany, England, and the USA. Before coming to Freiburg, he taught at the Universities of Heidelberg, Bern (Switzerland), and Konstanz.

Assistant Professor Dr. Marc Andree Weber completed his Ph.D. at the University of Heidelberg and was a postdoc in several research projects.

Maik Niemeck is a PhD student. Before coming to Freiburg, he studied Philosophy and Sociology at the University of Göttingen.
