Stefanie Klose: EPICUR Project Manager

Stefanie Klose started working for the EPICUR European Universities Initiative as Project Manager at UCF in 2020. She also teaches EPICUR and UCF courses around systems thinking and Education for Sustainable Development, e.g., Mediated Modeling for Sustainability with Andreas Zitek from BOKU, Sustainicum Collection with Julia Wlasak from BOKU, a German language acquisition course on sustainability topics. She also a principal organizer of EPICUR's challenge-based EPIC Missions.

She studied Physics with a focus on Environmental Physics at the Heidelberg University. After two years of teaching as Teach First Deutschland Fellow at the Hartmann-Baumann School in Hockenheim, she started to pursue her PhD at the Faculty of Environment and Natural Resources at the University of Freiburg at the chair of Industrial Ecology. As a PhD candidate, she assesses strategies to transform society to a more sustainable future while considering economic incentives, legal regulations and the change of social norms.
