Katharina Kiefel: EPICUR Project and Communication Manager

Katharina Kiefel started working for the EPICUR European Universities Initiative as communication officer at the University of Freiburg in February 2020 and joined as a Project Manager at UCF in January 2023.

Previously, she studied Social Anthropology and Musicology at the University of Freiburg, graduating with a master's degree in Social Anthropology. In the context of her BA and MA theses, she conducted research in Canada and the USA, with a dual focus on urban Indigeneity and Life on Reservations.

During her studies, Katharina held administrative assistant positions at the University of Freiburg and worked as a mentor for students preparing and conducting their anthropological field research stays abroad. She has also worked in the departments for Quality Management and Instructional Development.
