Meet Nour!

Who are you?
I’m Nour, a second year Culture and History student.

Why did you choose LAS at UCF?
Its interdisciplinary aspect really attracted me, as I was divided between choosing a more humanities inclined field, or politics. Hence, I specifically wanted to study Liberal Arts and Sciences, a program that is more common in the USA and UK. Germany was a more affordable option for me. Lastly, I also wanted to learn german.

Why did you choose your Major?
After hesitating between Governance and Culture and History, I eventually opted for the latter. I liked the humanities approach at UCF and discovered a genuine passion for it..

What’s your favorite thing about UCF?
I like UCF’s sense of community, it’s countless committees, events and support systems. It creates a good feeling of belonging and helps building nice friendships.

Are you part of a committee?
I’m part of UCF’s newly built Crochet with LASers committee! I would love to join more committees in the future.

What advice would you give to future LAS students?

Be open to opportunities and trust the process.

Can you explain LAS in one sentence?A really versatile and fulfilling program with lots of insightful courses and discussions.
