The Harvard Summer School at Harvard University offers a broad range of Summer Programs in Cambridge, MA and abroad. From June 13, 2016 to August 5, 2016 and in LAS Block IV, UCF hosts the first Harvard Summer Program in Freiburg.
The program focuses on European discussions on critical topics in history, politics, and science. It is integrated into the LAS curriculum, allowing LAS students to follow courses together with students from Harvard.
The following courses are on offer in the program:
- European Responses to Global Challenges – Prof. Dr. Sven Beckert (History Department, Harvard University)
- Inequality – Prof. Dr. Uwe Wagschal (Department of Political Science, University of Freiburg)
- Privacy – Dr. Elisa Orrù (Centre for Security and Society, University of Freiburg)
- Sustainability – Prof. Dr. Sheila Jasanoff (Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard University)
